FREISA D’ASTI DOC “ECCLESIA”

CURIOSITY: “Ecclesia” because the grapes harvested for this wine come from a vineyard where the Church of San Giorgio stands, one of the Romanesque beauties of the area.

DENOMINATION: Freisa d’Asti Doc

GRAPE: Freisa 100%

VINEYARDS: Village of Aramengo, San Giorgio hill

TRAINING SYSTEM: traditional guyot

HARVEST: manual at the end of September, beginning of October

VINIFICATION: destemming and maceration with fermentation on the skins at a controlled temperature of 26-28C° for about 12-15 days. After a few rackings and malolactic fermentation, it rests until the following spring in stainless steel tanks

ORGANOLEPTIC CHARACTERISTICS:

– COLOUR: cherry red

– SCENTS : winy, fruity with notes of rose and raspberry

– TASTE: dry, right and balanced tannins

PAIRINGS: suitable for savory appetizers, cured meats and medium-aged cheeses

IDEAL SERVING TEMPERATURE: 18°C
